W40k intro game

Postby Myers1174 » Mon Jan 06, 2020 6:27 pm

Would anyone be available to give me a quick game and show me how to play a small game if possible please?

Sure one of us can put up something suitable to be knocked down in the interests of learning and find something suitable for whatever you have to face off against.

which faction or factions do you have?

and as my esteemed friend notes, you about Wednesdays or Saturdays?

a bit chaotic...

Shop is open late Wednesdays until nine if you fancy a wander down, big tables likely occupied this week but should be able to fit something on the 15th if you fancy it?

we've been running smaller games recently which run pretty fast and that format is not bad for learning the game too

Not sure for chaos space marines to be honest, to learn the game it almost doesn’t matter. I’ll bring ordinary space marines, not the most recent codex but for a simple game it doesn’t matter

Bring what you fancy and can sort out something suitable for learning the ropes

Beauty of 40k now, the basics are very basic

you can grab the "basic" rules for 8th from the GW website, I do have a Chaos Space Marine army myself, its not been used in a while as I don't have the most recent book (I tend to buy a book, use the army once then the swines release a new one). Its not a hard game to play, can start with basic knock about stuff and bring other bits in later. My marines are pretty basic in capabilities without any fancy tricks (basically starter set force plus a few more similar bodies as I had the Conquest magazine subscription)

sort it out on the day, usually down between five and half past depending when I can escape the office in Doncaster
