Right. Looking for a small game of 40k to try out my Eldar.
Can do 750 points. Maybe 1000 with proxies and a lot of building.

Sorted, the banannnnanas at 750 could be interesting... well the two of them you could..

but agreed invulnerable saves all over in small games get silly, may give my marines a whirl, the newer ones have never yet seen a table

I have to use everything I have apart from the knight to get to 750.
Eldar are cheep compared to Deathwatch.
Not sure how well this will go, but should make an interesting game.

Quite, nothing mahoosive this end, forgot what marines cost, on the plus side it will be easy to transport

nothing with better than a 4++, and thats one model, no heavy armour either (indeed just one vehicle and given thats a Rhino)

While they are a Battalion (just) they are really more a reinforced patrol scouting a perimeter or something.

still should be something of a classic match up, not run these guys since 5th, and indeed this is actually those very same models, the Primaris were going to be way too limited so going old school...
