40k Challenge Event

Postby Keiron » Wed Mar 21, 2018 3:38 pm

I’ve proposed a 40k challenge event against Danum dice asylum. Relaxed event. 2k points, 2 games 10-1 and 2-5. To be held at their club in Doncaster which has a bar. Suggested dates are Sunday 22nd April and Sunday 6th May. I need to know who’s interested and which date(s) they are available for so I can let their chairman know to get the ball rolling.
currently playing Kings of War, Zombicide Black Plague, Rum and Bones, Batman, Marvel

Talking to their guys it looks like 6th May is a better date for everyone. Just trying to get rough numbers sorted so I’ll put you all down as probables. Also will be looking at approx £7 per player to cover hire of building etc. Hope this isn’t too steep for anyone

6th should be good

may I suggest in the run up to this we actually play a bit more 40k?

thinking specifically to avoid tripping up on rules issues and for general familiarity.

Incidentally, any ideas on scenarios? scoring methods? (W/D/L or some sort of 0-20 system?) restrictions?

thinking there is enough time to sort something out thats nice for this, but need an idea to avoid the debacle of the last event I went to with my IG infantry company.. to discover there were scoring it totally on "kill points".. which went well...

That would be the smart thing to do.
Still avoiding playing 40k with the index Deathwatch as I'm fed up of wanting the murder everyone before I get my second turn, and that's putting it politely.
