Hope to be able to get up for this one, will confirm next week :)

Suggestion on the point limit, randomise it each round to vary the forces a bit, plus allowing keeping of the same hero game to game or restarting with a new one with no experience if they get too wounded?

something like 10+1d6 points maybe, worth checking with Dave C. probably on suitable point values to avoid forces being too large to be practical (I like the idea of 7pt + 3d6 but this may be too many)

I'd be tempted to play with similar sized forces to what we did on Saturday. It gave quite quick games, so we should be able to get through a few rounds.

If we do go for random points, which I'm not keen on, it would be per round and not per player.

One other possibility is to play through the six scenarios in the book as an on going campaign, using the points values in the Battle Book. This would be 6 rounds of, say 45 minutes, hopefully changing opponent every round. You would take dishonour, skills and wound cards with you, as per the book.

I'll have a look at the book and come back with a more concrete suggestion.

Random would have to be per round for sure. Defer to you on that one as you've played it more.

Like the little campaign idea though or keeping it small so perhaps we get all painted stuff :)

What about:

15 point forces with the following restrictions:

1. Must have a commander, e.g. Samurai Hero or one of the named ones from the boxed sets.

2. Because it was a limited release, and most people didn't get one, no geisha assassins.

A number of 45 minute games will be played, up to half a dozen rounds, depending on how many turn up. Scenarios will be objective based. Three points for a win and one for a draw. Enemy points killed/own points lost will work as 'goals difference' in case of players been tied at the end of the day.

Cheers

Guess I need to build my models :-/

Got kids but should still be able to make it.

Dave's idea sounds OK to me.
Does it have Lasers or Templars?

Sounds like a winner to me, can get 15 points done for the weekend, seems plenty to allow a bit of variation.
