Well it has snuck up on me again.
Loving Flames at moment, can't win but loving loosing.

Just picked up a copy of blitzkrieg with my lottery savings club.

Another couple of good games vs Simon

Surrounded, my guys defended and luckily pinned the enemy a couple of times so they couldn't close and the one platoon that tried to assault got pinned lost three teams and failed platoon moral check.

Surrounded this time with Simon defending, again like playing Dale it came down to a command re roll or lose the platoon that had just captured the objective.

Ver close indeed.

Cain and his boys are not looking forward to round two when there will be more firepower to take out my horde.

Small games seem to often come down to that command roll, or a company morale check - you don't have the bods to hide support units behind hills to do their work..

My British EW are up for a few games next time I'm up (mid feb) and this time actual EW brits not LW pretending..

Stepping up to 700 will perhaps not be the headache you think, people get more bullets but gods you get more targets

Curse you Boycie.

Slaughtered my poor old Soviets, those MG teams are terrible as was my ability to kill em.

Did wonder on running three smaller infantry platoons, same (ish) number of teams overall and only slightly more expensive but a lot more flexible.

Also on looking at some of the German EW lists that in any other peiord would be "Mechanised" but EW are "Infantry".

Mind you also Soviets can be pure evil given just what they get in the HQ being larger than some other armies.

How is this lot going? when is the step to 700pts? asking as hoping to be up mid Feb and will bring the :german: & :british: EW stuff up for a play

Think we decided that if you'd got up to the first 'level' you could play 700pt lists, but if you were facing someone who hadn't got there yet to play with 500pts still

Jimmy Right. 700 points now if both players have at least 1 skill each. Looks like the Germans have had the best of the first round, and in typical British attitude I blame everyone else for not been British themselves and not fighting hard enough.

Except the Soviets. There not even trying, I mean losing to Boyce

I was just trying to make him enjoy the game.
I expect he thinks Flames is F*?€$¥G amazing after that game.

I would like to take even bigger platoons next turn but there doesn't seem to be enough table available.
