EW infantry aces anyone?

Postby Dropshort » Fri Dec 05, 2014 6:45 am

Well after been asked by liam and boycie to run a small campaign at our house so they can get used to the rules, I thought I'd ask if anyone else would be interested.

Keeping it simple, standard infantry aces with early war lists.

Any takers?

Won't be able to make it up often enough but that sort of campaign sounds a very good way to get people into the game, and running it EW should be good - just ban the various "special forces" companies from burning empires is my suggestion.

May also be worth a look at the reprinted scenarios for the Great War expansion - the normal games re-sized for a 48" square table which could be useful at the club

You know I am.
Conscript troops must be great at small scale warfare, what can possibly go wrong.

Had the first game tonight at my house, Liams French verse's my 8th army.

A quick game saw the French attacking, well marching into well disciplined British rifle fire until only there CC was left standing.
Having grown tired of shooting French troops the brits got out of their trenches and took the French commander prison at bayonet point.

Hats off to Liam for giving it a go, played the breakthrough mission and had a river on the table.

Hi Josh

From Hellfire & Back

Infantry Company Confident Trained

30 HQ = 1IC and 2IC both SMG

135 P1 = Command team with R/MG and 6 teams with R/MG + 1 x Light Mortar

135 P2 = As above

95 P3 = Command team with SMG and 4 x HMG, can combat attach

95 P4 = Command team with SMG and 4 x 8cm mortars

Comes to 490

Dale can you stick him up an EW list from Blitzkrieg or will it be pretty similar.

Will have a look on Thursday (not at home tonight), can actually do a lot more with Blitzkrieg as there is the option to take the older style formations.

Doing terribly but really enjoying these battles.
Actually having a great time with Flames again.

Me and Josh discussed my Soviets joining the Axis forces for this one as there are so many allied players.
