8th Army

Postby Baldie » Sat Dec 26, 2015 8:15 am

Just got bases on my 25ldrs to do now and they are done.
These poor guys have been silver for about three years, even doing an alright job on the bases to taunt me into going back and doing the others.

Having a crack at my winter Germans then and have a hankering for some more desert troops, Italians or DAK.

Sandy Haans and his DAK await, they got bored making sand castles, or weirdly at events fighting in Finland.

Done em at last, think it is about three years they have been stuck to the bases in beautiful silver effect.

8th Army is now a fully painted 1750 force, I wont say finished as I may go back and do some highlights at some point but I want to get some playable forces put together.

Oh very nice, 8 gun battery as well.

Love the basing, very nice with the guns themselves, simple but very effective.

This aimed early or mid war? 1,750 is plenty in either (early tends to be about 1k5 ish, mid can be 1k75 easily though)

Haans is rigged for early war with his DAK and is probably pants mid war (too many early only support elements)

EW so far never tried MW with em but main bit of the force is same anyway with a few bits changed round.
Love fighting in the desert though this may be due to no Tiggers so far.

Got loads of desert terrain as well though could probably do with some 15mm hills.
