The rust coloured washes Col has in are nice for making things dirty and a bit worn, but not "knackered".

My skaven went the other way, painted a rust orange, drybrushed a rust brown then a lighter brush of silver where where the rust had worn off.

A reddish/brown wash though will work nicely and take the shine off, then a bit on the edges, followed of course by lashings of blood

Ok most you guy no I've not been painting as of late due to lack of concentration but that seem to have stopped today as I've actually sat the full day with paint brush in hand and even dug out my airbrush to try and learn. I've posted some pic's

You'll notice the Nob has darker skin just so he stands out that bit (plus it goes with the Ork fluff)

Look good to me, simple but very nice looking.

pity hardly anyone seems to actually play 40k, as a game its rubbish but as a way of killing time with people who don't take it seriously its highly suitable.

May have to get the last of my nids sorted...

Use mine mostly for priming (love VMC coloured primers) and base coats plus varnishing.

That said have had a go at camo on German stuff and its come out 'ok', but managed to get a very nice fade on a Me-262 which I'll eventually get round to taking pics of an my High elf dragon & phoenix look nice with airbrushed bits to them, glad I got it.

Same here on using old stuff to practice, that and Zvezda vehicles of course
