So i am looking for info on army list for just tanks.
Looking at leman russ hq squade x2 tanks
X2/3 leman russ hvy support
X2/3 fast attack eather hellhound/sential.

Under the current rules no ideas, however the models are not bad, and its easy to use magnets on the sponson mounts (so the whole sponson is removable), the weapons plug in so easy to chop and change.

Ditto things like stubbers, the front plough and HK missiles are easy to magnetise and make removable.

If you change how you make the turret the main gun options are an easy swap in/out as well - specifically do not glue the top of the turret to the base as this "traps" the guns, either a magnet or cut the front bit of the base and you have a highly versatile model.

Found under previous versions the rule about not being able to split fire was what cripples armoured armies, you may do ok against marines or other "small" forces but can easily be swamped by more than you can shoot down by some.

May be worth having a pair of Chimera (not bad 'light tanks' in themselves) as escorts with some cheapish infantry units in there to help deal with approaching enemy foot swarms - when not needed decamp into a building and keep heads down.

Armoured column is a fun army concept but under previous editions had some pretty bad matchups, bit of a gimmick but it could work well once you got round the glass hammer nature of the vehicles.

Any thoughts on colours etc?

Building tanks with magnits is alittle bit harder than ably to pul off. But worth looking into.
Using troops with a transport sounds good but with my eye sight id have a problem builing the men.
For what i want them to look like im thinking urben camo, but less over the top more bin through the ringer and still able to kick arse.

Building this army will take a while tho.with a little luck i could pull off a small useable force in no time.

nah magnets for the sponsons is easy, even I managed it (first project with magnets), worth doing as that way you only need enough hulls for the games you want and can swap and change the weapons between them.

Building the IG models is easy enough, especially if you get a box of ten, then two boxes of the five "push fit" models, two squads using the push fits to pad them out with models that are very easy to build and paint. For the rest just don't stick all the silly little detail bits on (you never notice them once painted anyway).

Urban camo should be good, I've got that on troops but the armour is more of a desert/WW2 german yellow/green/brown theme. Urban with grey/black/cream could look amazing though.

From the little I remember on 40k its actually very quick to get a game playing army, specially given the Janco crew are pretty easy going on playing smaller games :)

Well building with magnits may be easyer than i think. But my skills at modling is low, may be a while b4 im any good.

Sounds like it would make building my army cheaper to setup.
