Hi all
i am thinking of basing some models about the same size as GW ones on 20mm square.
I was thinking of using Plasticard but is 1mm thick enough or should i go 2mm thick.

Would be making 100x40mm 100x80mm 200x80mm size bases

2mm is better as it won't warp as much. Any reason for cutting plastic yourself?

Wondering as 0.5mm steel bases are cheap and easy, mdf is not bad either

Just cos it's light

Plastic is best for weight, would go for 2mm though, or just but the rendra plastic bases which will save a lot of time
