Roof tiles...

pondering, I have several model kits that have MDF roof sections, which get the "flat" sheet etched with lines to look a bit like tiles.

trouble is it looks rubbish, the plastic sheet the Empires at War buildings come with sorts anything from that period with embossed plastic sheet - does anyone know a decent source for that Mediterranean style plastic roof tile? probably "O gauge" size I guess, "OO gauge" is probably a bit small.

also pondering the far east themed models, roof tiles will be fine for Japan (may need heating to curve it a bit), but pondering individual wood shingle stuff. have done the "individual tiles from thick paper" method which works but is damned slow.

any better ideas?

Checked with Empires at War, Mick has noted he can supply such sheets individually, so if anyone else needs them, drop him an email and see what he comes back with.
