Home made war gaming mat

Any first hand experience here? Anybody ever attempted to make their own war gaming mat? I've been looking at the videos on YouTube and it looks simple enough, just need the space to set something like that up, preferably outdoors.

I make PVC printed ones if youre interested in one of those.

but on the DIY side i tried the caulking on cloth and boy was that a pain and it just sticks to itself and pulls the paint off cos of it sticking.

What do you charge for PVC printed ones virus? We went to Derby World Wargames this year and there was a company (forgot their name) charging something like 60 quid for a 6x4 cloth (!!!) mat..... my gaming group bought one earlier this year, a beautiful frost grave themed one, 6x4 mouse pad material for about the same price lol... needless to say we passed on the cloth ones.

6x4's are usually £35 unless the place i get them printed has a sale on. If you want a new design from what I have itll be another £5 for the design time.

What designs do you do virus? My gaming group will probably want a generic grassland one shortly after the new year, and do you have anything like wasteland themed? Something that you could plonk factory's and oil rigs on and not look out of place? Thanks.

These are what I currently have:

There is a grassland one and the concrete or dirt one will look good for wasteland. depending what type of wasteland you are thinking.
