Virus' year of gaming

Postby virusoverload » Fri Feb 27, 2015 7:32 pm

Ok so after listening to a podcast episode I've decided to write a targets list for the year. (maybe going to split it up into quarters) obviously this is gonna get screwed up when i see something shiny but still.

So heres my list:

Paint Lilith Crew (lilith, 3 tots, 2 young neph, 2 mat neph, cherub, barbaros)
Paint rest of neverborn ( mr. graves, mr. tannen, lilitu, primordial magic, waldgeist)
Paint jacob Crew (Jacob, hungering darkness, 3 illuminated, 2 beckoners, 3 depleted)
finish pandora crew/repaint the others (paint candy, baby kade, poltergeist/ repaint pandora, 3 sorrows)
Build/Paint von schill crew (von schill, librarian, specialist, 2 freikorpsman, strong arm)
paint other outcasts ( 3 ronin, finish convict gunslinger)
build/paint bloodbowl team
build/paint bloodbowl board
build/paint 2 terrain buildings
texture folding board
Build/Paint base boards for my foldy table
Buy/Build/Paint some Flames of war/Bolt Action.(small british force)

also to finish about middle in a tournament. (wishful thinking.)

well thats the list as it stands at the minute. some more may get added. I will try and keep this updated with what ive got done. some things are started already seeing as we are at the and of February.

ok so Ive finished 4 models, nearly finished another 2.

Lilith and the 3 waldgeist are done, the Mature Nephilim is done apart from his claws and blood. and the doppleganger needs varnishing so I can put blood on her. (no photo of her atm)

so here they are:

First heres lilith:

So I had to take a bit of a break from painting. Seeing as I made my own folding table (I'll post this later) I needed some terrain. I started making some scatter terrain while watching tv/films. and it escalated quickly into building a big house and I'll probably make even more now.

so no more babbling on here are the pics:

None of this is finished yet.

Ok..so I've been busy with work and other things but during this time I decided I would be able to get some commissions done for some friends. I used to do commissions all the time but it got to a point where I was only painting other peoples figures and none of mine.

This time round I've set a few rules for myself and others. I wont be taking anymore than 5 models at a time...total so 3 from one person and 2 from another is all good but not 5 per person. When they're done I will take more. I will also charge more than I did last time. Previously I charged a low amount as I was unsure if people would want models painting if I didn't, which happened to have the side effect of me painting all the rank and file troops (another reason I went of wargaming for quite a while).

So with all that said and done here are some of the commissions I've been working on and finished:

A sniper for James' infinity army.

And her spotter Bunny of Doom. (Think we need a holy hand grenade).

I don't look forward to coming up against this duo on the table.
