Army of the Pharaoh

A place for your armies to call home

Should probably be a lot more colourful, but I like them this way and it makes the command ones stand out a bit. Two more on order so will have two units of them.

Really hate painting horses, the horse and tack here are Flat Earth with a Sepia wash, not picking out the tack as that drives me mad.

Looking forwards to the first outing on the table, few days off this week so hoping to get the lot I have finished to have two divisions

Let us know when you are up.
I have my Britons and Romans
Dave C has Greeks
James has Bactrian Greeks
Jobbers has Hundred Years War English
Graham has Romans as well

We may be able to get a few peeps get games in

How many points can you do? I think I can squeeze out 400 and James has about 700, those elephants would feed the tribe for a few weeks.

Mostly medium infantry of various sorts, with a few light infantry for morale reasons.

Its all so unpharaoh...

May have to sort my Normans out, Egyptians are fun and great models.. but perhaps to get to 400 points+ will need a heck of a lot of them

My guys are pretty much four warbands and some skirmish troops to a division and a cult of speed division.
I don't really get much choice
Warbands
Light Cav
Guys who chuck stuff

Will try to do some scenarios as well, someone has suggested lowering command rate by one all round to add to fog of war so Britons on a seven rather than eight making it more likely they will misbehave and Romans on eight rather than nine with generals upgrade meaning they are more stable but could still be reluctant to get stuck in.

Should really slow down now on new games or I will never get to play em.

Light archers!

Image

Another unit of these to do, and three of medium archers, all of which have the primer, cloth and bases finished, hope to get more done tomorrow.

On target to be usable by the middle of March

List has a fair few choices, as long as you like slightly different Medium infantry...

Nice theme to it, will have to find a few bits to use as terrain for them

So much for usable in March 2015...

Ahem...

Ok, dug these guys out, finished assembling the bits that were left, discovered the filler I use on the base is rock solid, also from 2015 so perhaps not a surprise really.

When finished we will have:

2x command chariots
8x normal chariots with archers
6 stands of spearmen & 2 command stands
6 stands of axemen & 2 command stands
8 stands of light archers
12 stands of medium archers
4 stands of javelins

should be able to make a force out of that lot, just need to see if local Asda sells filler...

Yay

You could do a Lart force and probably a small HC one as well.

TBH there is no reason we could not play HC with a single stand as a unit as long as we remember what the skirmish troops are.

PS my British are really looking forward to facing so many archers.

Scratch that Dale
If you are New Kingdom then

Division 1 & 2 same as each other
Commander
Unit of Spears
Unit of Axes
Unit of med archers
Unit of light archers
Unit of skirmish javelin small unit
102 each

Division 3
Commander in chariot, clearly an important chap
Unit of light chariots archers
Unit of light chariots spears max one per army
Unit of chariot runners small unit, use two remaining bases of axe
Unit of chariot runners small unit, use two remaining bases of spears
85 points

Total 289 in three divisions, could combine them into two but less flexibility

Think it meets max / min % restrictions

We normally play 350 games so 289 is nearly there not much from 300 which is a decent game and a stones throw from 350 which is quite big

Another unit of chariots and few more infantry and that is a decent force with loads of missile fire
