Hail Caesar, unwashed general horde/ancient Brits.

A place for your armies to call home

Not yet a force to worry the might of Rome but the beginning of an uprising to throw the attackers back into the sea.

Small unit of slingers backed up by a skirmish unit with warband at the rear

Second warband with their own skirmish screen, even the adolesents have been called out

Mighty, small, force in all its pastel glory.

Next on list is a unit of light horse and a unit of chariots, never actually painted a horse so it should be fun. I have trouble painting large areas as my only technique is base, wash and highlight and I never do well on big areas like monsters or war machines etc.
NB before you wags start paper page just happens to be centre page the paper is on, great free paper that is ideal for all my painting needs.

Looking very nice there, horses are a pain...

Be interested if you find a quick way of doing them

Another you tube session and a unit of chariots, a unit of light horse, small unit of archers and second commander done.
Horses are painted, best that can be said for em.

Sanded bases so just ink and flock em tomorrow.

May get another warband started tomorrow.

The celt of speed, geddit?

Small archer unit and sub commander, his standard bearer has a fine figure.

The dudes are starting to get there, another warband on the go and pitter patter of tiny hooves are on way as this year we are all apparently buying our own presents and giving them to someone else to wrap and give us back.

Apparently I am not allowed to provide my picture of Hitler giving a speech at the Berlin Ballroom as we are meeting Gemma's cousins boyfriend for the first time and I am supposed to make a good impression. I am absolutely positive I will make an impression.

Managed to crack off another warband last night/this morning.

One more warband, several skirmish units, couple more chariots and some poppo riders and they will be done for now.
Looking at army lists I could probably do with twice as many men, no access to things like elephants, veteran troops, super heavy cavalry and throwers of all sorts of rocky things means points don't get soaked up and my divisions have to have four or more units and it doesn't count skirmish units.

Romans next on the list then the Hundred Years War English who will also do as other medieval forces, the figs look terrible compared with modern figs but they will do.

The Greeks are ready to take your rabble on. The Spartans have had a hearty breakfast, just in case

Great the boys are looking forward to a nice summer holiday, hope your boys aren't expecting to get paid.

May even think about getting another force.
