In prep for the EW non Eastern Front stages of the big year of gaming I have decided to finish off my South Africans

HQ - Painted
P1 - Painted
P2 - Painted
HMG - Painted
Mortars - Painted
Carriers - Painted
Matildas - Painted
25ldr's - To paint
Bofors - Painted
Aircraft - Painted

Just made a start on the second platoon of infantry, going to be slow going I believe.
Edit, or maybe not.

Should look pretty good once done though, how are you doing them?

Waiting to see if I'm allies or axis before taking a brush to much more :)

Really basic so should be a doddle, I just can't get into it.
Undercoated British desert yellow.
Green webbing and socks.
Brown wood.
Metal well, metal.
Skin in dwarf flesh cos it looks a bit sunburnt.
Brown wash.

Bases have been sanded and pebbled, forgot to plaster first but they will match the others at least.
B&Q clay
B&Q cream as a drybrush
Base edges in black believe it or not cos I like the contrast.

Finger out I should have done the full platoon today up to bases.

Vehicles are easier, same basecoat then wash
Drybrush creme.
Few details and job done.

Love that B&Q Clay colour, black bases always have a very tidy look to them, my desert ones are tan-earth but it had to either fit in or be black.

Black good for markings on as well.

Will have to bring Haan's slightly sandy lot up at some point.

Haan's unbroken record of control in the sand may be under threat...

At least my guys will now look stylish when getting run over by James's DAK.
Must admit I am thinking of getting a DAK force as well.
