COC EW Germans & Soviets

Postby Baldie » Fri Dec 27, 2019 12:09 pm

Decided to make a start on some EW Germans to take on the might of the BEF.

Starting them as a Panzer platoon from Blitzkreig 1940 cos you only need three squads rather than the infantry four. Then work up to the infantry who may be more sensible.

Regular
+1 Rating so may even get support

Lt with pistol
Felb with SMG

Three times squads
MG34 with three crew & 6 riflemen

the belt fed MGs are nastier, 8 dice v 6 for magazine fed

sounds interesting, when everything gets set up here may look at a European force of some sort

Still going to do a small French force but fancied a German force to take on the Brits, my French or Russkies.
Cant have Reece as the lone German.

Hope to get away with EW and MW force look. Mostly grey/green then throw in some camo for MW. That said an SS force would look great but not sure I am up to camo.

Anyway got most of a force sorted but going to need some support.

Spent yesterday watching an EW COC pint sized campaign on YouTube.

Probably not hard to paint up as "late early war"/"early mid war" stuff, should look decent enough

Talking yesterday of putting a to do list together.
Started one last night just forces needing to be finished for now rather than units or figs.

Then went into EW Germans to put down units to comp.

Got scared so may put the to do list to bed.

I can now say work has started on them.
Well, filler removed(Thanks Dale) they are now in freezer to crack the glue(Thanks Dale)

They are to be mounted on metal and go on magnetic sheet, could have left them to just magnetise the plastic bases but what the heck.

Oh and they got a new box.

Now that's what I call progress.

Yeh, did a bit of work tonight.
Was it EW Germans - Nope
How about Sovs - Fraid not
6mm EAP or perhaps even the fabled Ancient British horse - Course not

You guessed it, re basing some Arabs to make my Lart 200 point force.
Signed up for a tourney and buy these guys are in for some pain but it is better than trying to paint the second half of my Swiss.
