basically this, was painting in groups of eight, the last lot was a single group of 22 and as such they were done in a week, as opposed to eight in a week.

Ok these are a pretty basic paint job, but it works, I wanted to be able to actually get them on the table, and that meant having two armies, which is essentially the whole box.

still some of the terrain to build, the house is done and painted, the MDF houses I have are not done yet though, and only one bit of the five rail fencing is built and primed.

Also with the house move coming up time for painting is going to be a bit more limited for two-four months so wanted them out of the way.

Piccy update, now with bases completed, just varnishing to finish them

Image
Regiment of union cavalry, the largest cavalry unit I've ever painted as one block, previously done in groups of four, five or eight with the very rare group of nine

Image
5th New York regiment, need to make a movement base for the command group so they can run as a regiment, even if two men short

Generic objective markers completed

Basing is progressing, Union cannon and crew, a unit of skirmishers and the various foot officers are done, the trays for the second unit are finished and the actual troops for the second unit have the mud effect one - hope to have them done tomorrow and can take a nice group pic maybe Monday when they have dried.

Then on to the Confederates, slightly more of them but lacking cavalry so should be a similar speed process.

Do have the terrain still to base
