Thinking of colours for some marines

basic concept is to use Dark Angel iconography, as a good few of the models are from Dark Vengence and have it plastered all over, also provides a source of decals in white.

That in turn means a base colour that white will go over.

ended up with this chap

grey bits are gun metal silver, probably not brought all the way up to being highly polished but left a darker metal colour.

Deep pink is likely to be Magenta highlighted Sunset Red, possibly with a bit of red ink if needed

Lighter pink is Squid pink cut with white, highlighted a lighter shade still - this also used for weapons casings

cables etc are a dark grey, eyes are a deep blue, which will also be used as the base for things like plasma coils

Any other shoulder markings likely to be in white to match the chapter marking

Whole lot likely to get weathering down to a pretty matt finish.

Thoughts?

Ok, forget magenta, went back to the old style of marines, the 38th Tiosen Rifles.

Whites are GW, the Greens are VMC, Black Green - Flat Green then Camo Bright Green, final highlight Scorpion Green.

No squad or tactical markings as yet

Bit of an update, captain now painted up, paint went on a lot smoother this time, reasonably happy with him

Wasnt sold on the grey heads as i thought they looked unfinished but growing on me.
Still think the kitchen marines colour scheme would have been great, maybe not for Khorne.
