Leopard's Orks

Postby leopard » Thu May 08, 2014 10:13 pm

I am weak, the lure of the green has bitten, well nibbled, I blame the talk of a new 40k edition, a new ork book and the fumes from the green paint I've used on some 15mm Soviets, in otherwords somehow its all Lee's fault, I'll work out exactly how later. :shifty:

Have a unit of Gretchin, because, well Gretchin when you're a rat you don't need a reason*, and a unit of ork boyz** sitting on the kitchen table, assembled, filler on the base, waiting for the flipping rain to stop so I can prime them, also need some more actual primer which doesn't help.

Forgive me... the spores have taken root.

* this is true, just ask a rat
** gork help me I used the z

For anyone wondering why you never saw my orks on the table... its because they looked like this poor individual.

Thankfully I've worked out which end of the brush to hold since then.

Not especially, more just generic desert colours, irks have camouflage but the pics don't really show it.

Could see a dakkajet in Luftwaffe desert colours though

Found my rulebook!

(Well Donna found it)

When all the stuff thats in progress now is done (including adding the final 30 bodies to three units) will have roughly 1,800 odd points, dunno how good it actually is but its orks so should be amusing:

- Warboss from AoBR
- Painboy
- 30 boyz
- 30 boyz
- 30 Grots
- 10 Nobz
- 3 Runtherdz to stop the grots legging it
- 3 killa kan
- 1 deff dread
- 3 deffkopter
- 1 trukk

has virtually no ability to take on armour short of just mobbing it but should do ok against bods on foot, even if they have trouble hitting the side of a barn from inside the barn

Few new pictures, first up a triplet of Killa Kans

With Grotzuka

Fun models these, loads of detail but not the sort that needs picking out in different colours

With Rokkits
Image

Sprayed a yellow primer, then Desert Yellow, Sepia wash, highlight Desert Yellow

With Big Shoota
Image

Irritating mould line on the gun, needs touching up with a bit of paint to hide it

Then despite not being very good currently, we also have a Trukk

This model is nuts, its also a pig to build as you have little choice but to paint in sub assemblies

All the model is given a dusty coat, using magnolia emulsion from a tester pot as it seems perfect for this sort of thing

Pleased with how they turned out and a nice break from painting boyz... now have 40 finished and the next ten primed
