Rollcall 2015, April 11th & 12th

Postby leopard » Sun Mar 29, 2015 7:23 pm

Well signed up for this one, not too far from here so it being a two day job is fine.

1,550 points EW - some of you may have seen my lists, submitted today without any serious changes so will have to see how they do..

In theory have some basing to finish on the British, this may or may not actually get done though.

16 players signed up so should avoid playing the same list twice.

Aiming for top ten, possibly top six...

Looks like a great line up.
My poor old Soviets keep getting a pasting at EW, Romanians are next on list for a smash up.

Soviet Strelk is a list I fear, if that gets to defend and gets to start dug in they can take some serious shifting...

EW is great fun, this is the first EW event I've been to but will have to see how it goes.

You should aim to win...
Does it have Lasers or Templars?

Currently ranked 129th in the country, win would be nice but for a first EW event will settle for a decent standing.

Aiming to win the games though, oddball scoring

Calm before the storm, never did get the basing finished but it's all usable, have the five scenarios announced:
- dust up
- counter attack
- fighting withdrawal
- no retreat
- free for all

None of these are too scary, lot of infantry lists submitted and it looks like no heavy soviet tank lists (thankfully). Couple of allied armoured car and light tank lists that will be a hard fight though.

Looking forward to this, will try to get some pictures done

Game one, draw, dust up against Norwegians on a desert board for my DAK, piccies later.

Score was 1:2, lost a platoon without killing any. Event score 3:7 as enemy contested an objective.

Fun game, Luftwaffe did as much as usual, panzers survived!!!

Only lost one infantry platoon, the other and the bikes shattered though

On to round two

Game two, defeat! 4:3 against an Italian light tank company in counterattack

Took out a good few tanks, enemy company near breaking, as was mine, both at 50% in the end

Again picccies later today or tomorrow

Very tense but enjoyable game

Learning what this stuff is about...
