Think tanks in the air landing section could be pushing it a bit (Tetrachs excluded as they dropped by glider)

:o

It's in the book ...Cromwell or Sherman support... All that can be parachuted in or by glider then .. :D

I'm now more scared of the gliders :-)

You'll be the problem of whoever is in the reserves, planning to have a few machine gun nests facing backwards to keep it that way as well :-)

Have to get my parachute forces finished at some point they are beautiful models, even if the camo drives you mad painting it.

Suggested last time I was up there to assume the airbone forces dropped overnight and captured the bridges from whichever halfwit was defending them and as such are all in place, dug in etc so we don't have to worry about an actual air drop, otherwise approaching german armour will hardly notice the bump and its got to be worth the challenge, amazing what you can get in a glider have had a few good games with my Grenadiers against 6th Airborne that made me glad I'd left the armour at home.

2,005 is fine by me, only thing you need to check is the air support, unless we use the "total war" rules only one company on a side may have air support, and under total war having more than one such level of support means picking that as the force specialisation.

Otherwise thats a nice little list, lacking engineers but given the job is hold a bridge not capture one that may not be a huge issue. 6pdr and 17pdr will be suitably irritating, glad I'm not brining armour...

The Tetrach is an odd beastie, and tends to have the luck of devil (with four pak40 over multiple turns I've never killed one yet, got one with machine guns up close though). You will need some sort of cover to use them properly though they can then be an utter pig to hit, if anything a Stuart is far too large and far too hard to hide, will work as a proxy though.

You got tows for the guns? thinking with a long game on a big board the ability to move them about could be good as not a lot will want to get near them 17pdr until they is as dead as a tesco value sausage.

Snipers are a mixed back, beautiful models though, can be gold or utterly worthless with little way to tell ahead of time.

Not a bad way to run 2k points, especially if you're not the only air landing company, should be able to hold one bridge each with little difficulty for a good while and make life crossing the third difficult between the two of you.

Cheers fella ... Could drop a sniper an have tow for guns...air power hit or miss...but did play a roll all over Normandy different squadrons supporting elements from beach landing to para support...picked these as escorts that made sure gliders din get too mauled by German fighters on the way in .. :D ...sniper dropped gets me transports for guns and bang on 2k ....whoop .... :D who is yank paras in meat grinder...

I've just had a newsletter from 4Ground and they are about to release a 15mm painted Pegasus Bridge and Café Gondre (which was next to it). Looks pretty impressive. They are also doing 20mm and 28mm versions.
