Beer & Battles 2015 VBCW 22.08.15

Hi All
As I sadly put the garage tables away this morning I thought of what to do next year.

Options would be either

28mm scale VBCW, probably get some of the Sheffield guys to this.
28mm scale SAGA massed battle.
15mm scale FOW some kind of a big EW desert fight.

What you guys think?

Personally EW Desert FoW is about all I have, not sure how well SAGA would run large scale - mind you like thats stoped us before.

Never played VBCW so no idea.

massed HC game?

thinking we do big FoW at Colin's so something else is a good idea, will certainly try to get up for this :)

Yes cos that's what the janco lot need.

A decent further into madness.

Still would be nice explaining how and why we levelled Sheffield

Kelham island gass works explosion, ripping through Broardhurst machine works and igniting a cashe of explosives stashed in a dodgy looking butchers van leaking oil from Barnsley.... Funny enough the wages for the Broadhurst works are missing... The Kelham island LDF and loacal rozzers are stuck manning the defences at the Barnsley V Sheffield wed cup draw!

"Oh balls gaffer!"
"Jeezus Arhibald! You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!"

How's that?

James has got the 22nd off so as tradition states this is the day.

Thinking a game of VBCW, will think up a special scenario of some type. Hope to do a 12:00 start for a change which should give us time for some beer later and some other kind of game.

For those of you not familiar look on vbcf.freeforums.org

All you need is 30 odd troops, a brave or alive commander and a great back story for why your force is fighting in S Yorkshire. Some odd transports etc also helps.
