Rushden Rumble 2015

Postby leopard » Wed Nov 05, 2014 8:19 pm

On for the beginning of March next year, have signed up and worked out a partner arrangement which should be utterly awesome.

My greenies who came last, with Dan who came second last... wonder if we can actually manage a negative score?

Will be the 4th year for Thangrot and his somewhat confused followers, aim point is perhaps third quarter of the table, but will settle for not the bottom two.. or the bottom two in style ;)

Will probably let the Black Orcs out again, but ages to decide and get them magnetised, after the utter pasting by demigryphs last year figure decent strength may at least scare people...

Calm before the storm, list submitted, models are now based - just hoping that the movement trays turn up tomorrow so can get them magnetised as everyone now has a steel base ready for this.

Force is pretty basic, nothing fancy, no gimmicks, just a lot of bodies.

Orc Warboss, enchanted shield
25x orc big un's, shields, command
25x black orcs, shields, command
20x night goblins, 1x fanatic
20x night goblins, 1x fanatic
2x spear chukka
1x doom diver

Plus the free giant

No magic weapons, indeed no offensive magic at all. Working with the 50% L&H limits hoping to use numbers of bodies as a defence, combined with having no obvious juicy targets for anyone tooled to kill characters to go for.

Essentially hoping gimmicks are aimed at my allies and not me, while we pile forwards and try to kill something. Fanatics are a counter charge force really, two of them won't do much but could hurt small elite units, maybe.

40 bodies participating, aiming for 20th - 30th position, expecting perhaps lower but we will see.

1k gets a good few bodies, could have had about twice this as well, but it would have been rubbish, well more rubbish.

Better than usual,

3:17, 1:19 & 5:15

Army sort of works, didn't collapse at least. Just doesn't put out enough damage to score much.

Think something different next year though, Knights probably

I demand blood soaked reports of daring do not simple results.
Wonder if they would be prepared for the chaos of us teaming up again.
