Feb 15th Wimp wars

Off to Bakewell tomorrow.

Wimp wars theme so six of the units have to be a mix of either Psiloi or Light Horse.

Looking forward to getting done over by new and surprising opponents.

Loved the wimp wars theme.

I took Thracians
Cav General
3 x LH
3 x Psiloi
5 x Aux
Hilly aggression 1

Game 1 vs Rob Rush and his Numians
I got slaughtered by Bow and Aux
4 - 0 loss

Still there was the early loss to settle my nerves

Game 2 vs Neil Mason and his Ostrogoths, I had forgotten we had to switch forces every other game so I was playing the Goths
I got killed by my own lads
3 - 0 loss

Still second loss so on the way up from now

Game 3 vs Phil Johnson and his Parthians
I got slaughtered by the Knights
4 - 0 loss

Third loss so that's it right

Game 4 vs Frank Shaw and his Khazars
I was the Khazars and lined up some sweet kills
However I got slaughtered even lost my Knight Gen to his LH
5 - 1 beatdown

Ok at the bottom now so six losses will be fine

Game 5 vs Colin Alcock and his late Moors
Good old Colin took pity on me and allowed me a win
4 - 2 win but very close

Hurrah the single win I need to cheer me up

Game 6 vs Pete Davis and his Feudal Spanish I was the Spanish with Knights, Psiloi, LH and some Spear
Pete kindly rolled three ones on the pop for his Pips allowing me to get some great match ups for the win.
4 - 0 which is unfair as game could have turned if any of the aux had broke through my Psiloi

Colin and Pete conspired to make me miss the wooden spoon

Not great result for me today in terms of points but fantastic day as usual so a happy Baldie drove home stuffed with Bakewell pudding and a DBA glow.
