Britcon - August

Anyone fancy it?

They're doing Bolt Action, Xwing and Saga - it's a bit expensive at £50 for the weekend, but that covers games on Fri/Sat/Sun - 8+ games of bolt action over the weekend.

Xwing is only £30

I'm pondering either Bolt Action or Xwing - anyone else fancy it?

Gaz does run a great tourney.
The show is pretty good as well.

Bit expensive but loads of games, ponder.
Nights out in Manchester as well.

Yeah, the student accommodation is quite cheap too - £35 a night.

Plus it's my birthday the 13th August :)

Right one of my mates from Manchester has signed up for Bolt Action and I'm going to pick up a ticket now, especially as I've got my on-call rota through and i'm not on call that weekend :) - althoguh I was tempted by Saga.

Will give me a push to finish my BA Japanese off.

Also planning on going out for a few drinks/meal on the sat night as well, as it's my birthday the week after.

Anyone else fancy it?

There's Flames, Xwing, Saga, Bolt Action, 40k, Epic, and a variety of other systems - at a range of prices.

Too far for me, but BHGS do the cranborne event I go to with Flames stuff or warhammer when I remember. They do a good event :)

Good crew who seem to know what they are doing :)

Cracking weekend.

Knackered after going out with my younger brother and getting ~4 hours sleep sat night.

The Japanese did me well, over 8 games my record was 5 wins, 2 draws and a loss, with the loss on the top table last game :s

So close - ended up coming 2nd and winning £50 of warlord games credit - which is awesome - gonna be ordering some tanks I think :)

Great games, great opponents and great tables.

I played against - LRDG, Japanese, Americans, Germans with a 88 armed halftrack, Belgians and French so a nice mix :)
