birthday beers

Postby Jimmy » Fri Aug 05, 2016 9:18 pm

in case people aren't on facebook, or I forgot to add ya, I'm planning on having a night out in sheffield next saturday (13th August)

it's comicon in sheffield, so I think i'm going to head along to that - then planning on getting some food, beers and heading to corporation.

everyone welcome!

I would presume we are coming home to get changed then heading back over for meal / beers?
Does it have Lasers or Templars?

Right - after some thinking and discussion I reckon the easiest thing to do would be go to sheffield for comicon for people who are up for it. Then come back to barnsley to get changed/dump stuff.
Then out in barnsley for food/drinks and either stay out in barnsley (Scott Weldon assures me we can find somewhere with good music to dance to) or if all else fails and it's crap - head into sheffield.

comicon details here http://filmandcomicconsheffield.com/ - tickets are £9 if you pre-book them for 11am entry - could meet up for breakfast in sheffield first if people are about - probably aiming to be back in barnsley around 6ish - any of you locals suggest a good place to eat in town?

I will probably get the train/tram there so I can have a drink if there's anything there

Best curry place is tandoori hut but it's in athersley north. In town, red ginger is an awesome Chinese. Or there's a curry place upstairs in centre that's cheap and good.

The place upstairs in centre is really nice. Tandoori hut is best though but a pain as someone will have to drive.
